Free S4T Premiere Pro Title Template plus Texture: Old Plank

 At Style4Type, we've been showing off a lot of features inside the Premiere Pro Title Designer that many users just don't discover on their own.

One of the least knwon features of the Premiere Pro Title Tool is the 'Texture' mapping capabilities for text Fill and Stroke properties.

For this week, we've created a Title with a texture mapped into the Fill and Stroke faces.  The texture (S4T Texture_Old_Plank_1.jpg) is included with the .prtl file in a zip file, as you'll need the texture to use this title (most likely with some text of your own of course) in your own productions.

We've included a screen grab of the Texture parameters under the Fill Properties in the Title Designer interface.  You'll probably notice that the parameters available to customize how textures are mapped on text are extensive.   By playing around with them, you can create new looks which all use a common texture file.  If you have a file of your own you'd like to use as a texture map, just click on the box to the right of "Texture" in the interface to open the load dialog.

Free S4T Premiere Pro Title Template: Clock Face

Nothing like passing time...and now it's easier than ever to do just that.

Here is a clock title, created in the adobe Tite designer with all the components in one document.

By saving multiple versions of this title with components like the hands separated (but maintaining the original positions), you can stack the title layers on the edit sequence and then rotate the hands as the center spindle and the clock face are centered and ready for easy animation.

Sometimes you just need to get some text on the screen to convey some information for training or sales messages...or maybe a bit of information about an item in the right half of the screen.  When you're faced with these situations, how do you make it different?  How do you make it memorable?  How do you at least make it look a bit different than the video you did for the meeting last week...or the employee conference last month?

Well, you could start by firing up Premiere Pro and loading this template.  Text objects are in place and ready for you to replace with your own characters, the graphic elements are all fully editable inside the Premiere Pro Title Designer interface...  Just add video composition that shows critically important stuff on the right side and type what's important into the title on the right.

Free S4T Titler Template November 2013

This is a .PRTL file that you simply import into your Premiere Pro CS6 or CC project and edit from there.  The text, the frame and the background are all easily modified and/or replaced in Premiere Pro's Titler as every component in this template was created there.

Welcome to Style4Type.

As a visual artist long before I was a video director/editor, I've had a tendency to appreciate commercial art and particularly how text can be styled and combined with other visual elements to convey meaning far deeper than the meaning of the words themselves.

When Adobe integrated the current Title tool (then called the Title Designer) into Premiere Pro in 2003, I found it to be an incredibly versatile, yet easy-to-use tool.

S4T is intended to be a destination for those who would like to get some new ideas on how to use Premiere Pro's Titler...and we'll probably stray into general type geek topics as well.
